Health centers, as well as hospitals mainly, require easy access to their facilities. Automatic doors placed at main or secondary entrances, and emergency exits, or those found in surgical areas, enable a faster and more organized patient flow, while they maximize hygiene and guarantee hermeticism wherever it is needed.

Automatic doors can be classified according to their opening type. Within this group, sliding, revolving, and swing doors can be differentiated. Sliding and revolving doors are the ones that most fit with entrances, as they enable intense people circulation. In addition, sliding doors make sectorization possible, meaning zone delimitation and creation of new spaces.

But not all automatic doors share the same characteristics; therefore, not all can be used for one and the same. Which is why, in hospital centers, we will require a variety of door types, and hermetic doors are a key component due to their functionality and hygiene. These doors are chiefly important within surgical areas, where hermeticism stands as a constant need in order to keep environments under different pressure conditions.

We can offer in Manusa four different types of hermetic doors, being each one of them adaptable to several projects, and enabling the incorporation of accessories which enhance their functionality: sliding and swing doors, lead lined doors for radiation rooms, or glazed doors for observation rooms. All of them comprise a Visio Hermetic operator ensemble, which provides the highest hermeticism on the market, due to its hermetic double-sealed lock and a leaf manufactured from noble materials, such as high pressure laminate (HPL), stainless steel or glass.

Hermetic sliding and swing doors are designed to ensure hermeticism, functionality and hygiene by means of outstanding results. They both present a sunken cavity viewer, elegantly designed and easy to clean, with fixed door handles or inserted manual openers. The difference between these kinds of door, as their name imply, lies in their open types: sliding doors have leaves that glide in order to form a central or lateral opening movement, while swing doors may have a leaf or double-leaf which folds into the interior or toward the exterior.

Additionally, these two open types can be found in hermetic doors for radiology rooms which leaves present a lead sheet preventing X-ray from passing through and are superimposed upon lead on the walls of the room, so that maximum insulation is guaranteed.

Lastly, Manusa offers an automatic door which combines hermeticism with transparency: the ClearView hermetic glazed door. This door enables hermetic insulation, perfect for observation rooms due to its transparency, which allows total control of their interior and all the while, preserves the required temperature, humidity and pressure conditions.

Besides, for other hospital areas, different door types are required, which ensure security in other aspects. As an example, exit and evacuation folding doors display the functionality of an automatic door, being possible to slide leaves through manual pushing in case of emergency, thus enabling the building evacuation in a faster way. On the other hand, we find fire rated doors, which are not only proficient, but also necessary for the sectorization of concrete areas with higher fire risk, as these doors prevent fire from spreading out of these areas and their extension, and over the clinical facilities in their entirety.

In Manusa, we conceive hospitals as particular buildings, with certain inherent features that make us and our work with them require great versatility in our products and high quality, as usual. And Manusa always accomplishes, that is why centers such as Central Asturias University Hospital, Valencia University Hospital La Fe or Bangkok Red Cross Hospital (Thailand), amongst others, rely on our services. And we rely on them as well.
